As anyone who reads this blog (aaall those people lol) knows, I’m a big fan of roleplay. I have a character in King’s Landing that allows me to splurge on medieval wear and one in Fallen , a post-apocalyptic city sim. So today I am showcasing my urban look, featuring some vintage fair items as I finally managed to walk through without feeling like fighting an invisable rubber band with every step. I picked up some stuff that works for a more modern look, though there’s some lovely truly vintage stuff out there as well. The pantsuit has flared cuffs for a more seventies look, and I just love it. Overalls are probably my second favorite piece of clothing, right after pretty dresses.

Fair maiden

Sadly enough I haven’t beaten the lag at the Vintage Fair yet, so for now I’ll show you some more peasant wear. I find it rather hard to put a look together for a simply handmaiden like I roleplay without sticking to out of the box outfits. I think this outfit is fairly successful though with the matching greyish tones and pink. The skirt from Fishy Strawberry is absolutely gorgeous, though I do feel like I need a separate ao for full length sculpted skirt, because if you move and bend a lot, it makes you look somewhat like a floating bell.

So I told you guys about my RP sister Adele. She has one of the most gorgeous avatars I’ve ever seen and even though she’s changed her look a few times for RP’s sake, she was a redhead when I first met her and I think it looks stunning on her. So all of you who didn’t click the link last time I blogged about her, I’m going to share her right here! The first picture is heavily processed closeup so make sure to check the second picture as well as it’s a snapshot straight from sl.

I’m wearing a top, bracers and bodice from Knickknack. If you ever need some peasant wear this is one of the best stores to go. Fancy gowns might be fun, but for realism’s sake you should definitely get your everyday medieval wear at Knickknack. Since I play a bit of a tomboy I opted not to wear the skirt but some nice leather leggings from Kyoot. Don’t think you can only shop at medieval themed stores for ye old fashion. Adele is actually great at pairing modern items like tunics, boho skirts and draped pants into a funky yet time appropriate look. This league skirt for example. It’s a sculpted skirt so if you’ve got a really bendy AO it might not be for you, but I for one love it!

This look is something entirely different for me. Adele from Fashion with a character asked me to play her sister. She’s one of the most gorgeous redheads I’ve ever met and so I had to go ginger as well. While this hair is only available at Collabor88 you should definitely check out the Elikatira mainstore as there’s a crazy sale going on! It’s one year ago since the store opened it’s door and there’s few haircreators I love more then Elikatira. But make sure to check the footwear as well, I got this fabulous boots for only 60L! The dress is from paper.doll, a store that I discovered doing the Zombie Popcornhunt. This little number in cream isn’t from the hunt, but not expensive at all, so make sure to have a look at the rest of the store while you’re hunting.

Of course in SL you could opt to wear your bikini all year through in SL, but as soon as I’m getting the shivers in real life I feel like grabbing those fab sweaters and coat as well to match my mood. A little digging reminded me of this Lelutka coat that just looks amazingly warm and snug while it’s still fashionable. Underneath is hiding a cute little black dress from the Zombie Popcorn Hunt at Paper Doll. It’s been all over the blogs, but I couldn’t resist to put it in todays look as well. While I don’t often wear knit hats, I love this beanie from Maitreya is it is still very girly, while it’s perfect for that autumn chill. These stockings might not be so warm, but they sure are hot! (bwahah apologies for the bad joke)

So! Turns out I never did go to the Harry Potter sim. Mostly because I lack the time to do so, which is – you guessed it right- also the reason why I haven’t been blogging. This September I returned to school, and while I’m enjoying it very much, it leaves little room for SL. I’m getting used to the long days and homework though, so it looks like I’m going to have some more space to satisfy my shopping urges on SL. Enough about my private affairs though, let’s move to the look of today before I bore you all to death.

This morning I stood in the hairsection of Lelutka and was basically swooning over all the fantastic hair. I almost couldn’t choose but I finally made my decision and Blythe is one of them. Lots of volume and soft waves for a sensual bombshell look! The only downside to a lot Lelutka-hairs is the fact that they do tend to poke through your body, since they’re mostly sculpted. Blythe does that a little, but not so much that it bothers me, and for those who are really eager to get rid of the hair-in-body-look, they released a mesh hair as well. The outfit is available for only 90L in at the Perfect Wardrobe event. It comes in brown/burgundy (shown here) and in burgundy/brown. The skirt is a little on the short side (I would have preferred my rear end to be fully covered) and the the top is very low cut, but that’s easily fixed by wearing a strapless top underneath. Other then that it looks great with it’s nice rich colors and pretty sculpted parts. Top it off with some socks, a pair of boots and some accessories and you’re ready to go. Autumn is sexier then ever.

I’ll easily admit it. I’m a bit of a geek.

And perhaps my love for the Harry Potter novels and films only adds to that, but I think that the story is nothing short of epic. Because of my undying love for Severus Snape (beautifully tragic character and Alan Rickman’s voice makes me weak in the knees haha), I decided that my new character for the soon to open Harry Potter: Your Story, should be Slytherin. Fun opurtunity to be a little less goody twoshoes, but hey that doesn’t mean I can’t look cute.

I haven’t blogged in forever, or even been on SL for that matter. But, as my RL has gotten to calmer waters I have more time to spare online! Now that I am back this blog will undergo some chances as my character has changed as well. I’ve moved from the urban and post-apocalyptic sims to a medieval fantasy environment to indulge in my roleplay urges. Of course this means I can’t strut around it the latest fashion, but it gives me a new challenge to make a look that will fit into these sims and still have the prettyness and cuteness I so adore. So without further ado, my first picture of this new look!

The top with sculpted drapery and flowers is part of a lovely dress from Caverna Obscura that comes with both a short skirt and a long skirt. It looks amazing together, but I wanted something a little less posh and dressed it down with an overall I’ve gotten from Urbanity (store is bee renamed to Ha!) ages ago. Some old stuff still looks amazing when you dig it up!

Then on to the shoes. This picture is a little lowrez and honestly does not do these babies justice. The best thing is that you can get them for only 250L. I would easily pay that for a pair of great boots like these, but on top of that they’re part of an entire matching outfit from Severed Garden. Talk about value for you money!  Top, skirt, hairflower, bracelets, anklets, bodyflowers and boots! Perfect for any elf, fairy or anyone who just wants to feel like a princess.
